  I was at the Blackmore with a couple of cycling friends, and we had a wonderful evening meal. Friendly service, and fairly busy considering it was a Monday evening. Mercifully quiet background music; the change of ownership must have done the place a world of good.

  Went in here last week, it's a really nice atmosphere. There's an open fire (I love open fires; won me over immediately) and we received warm service, despite them being in the middle of their lunch rush. Would definitely visit again.

  Warm welcome to us strangers 'off the street'. Knowledgeable about their beers and wines. Service with a smile - but not 'in your face'.
  Nice varied menu including 'small portions' for 'interim fillers'.
  Very reasonable bill. Have booked for our dining club at Christmas.
